Martina Freitagová, MA
Martina Freitagová is an art promoter and theoretician, who gained her work experience at the Marketing and Press Departments at the V&A Museum in London, Christie’s London and the State Art Collections Dresden, Germany. In the Czech Republic, she acted as the Head of Communications for the Galerie Rudolfinum.
Martina currently works as a curator of the festival Film and Architecture and a lecturer at the Anglo-American University in Prague. She contributes to various magazines on art and architecture and enjoys translating and editing exhibition catalogues. Her passion for art culminated in editing the recently published textbook Why Art?, an unusual take on school textbooks about contemporary art published with major Central European museums.
Martina earned her MA in Art History at the University College London (UCL), United Kingdom and a BA in Marketing Communications and PR from the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
