Tamar Avishai is the one-woman band behind The Lonely Palette. She is an art historian turned finance administer turned independent radio producer, who holds an MA in Art History from Tufts University, and has logged many, many years of teaching art history intro classes – everywhere from community colleges to Harvard. She is also an adjunct lecturer at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, although the podcast is fully independent from the museum. She currently resides in Somerville, MA with her husband and cat Egon (Schiele), and picks a banjo in her spare time.
